Lives in Ljubljana and works in Slovenia and Italy
Finished primary school and grammar school in Nova Gorica.
Studied at the Faculty for Textile and Garment Design, University of Ljubljana.
Attended specialized training at the Domus Academy, Milan, Italy.
Since 1992 experimenting in the field of art, i.e. in personal and group exhibitions and performances, under the artistic name of LEONORA MARK.
In 2001 started to collaborate as a stylist and visage stylist with the fashion designer Uroš Belantic of Studio Oktober.
In 2002, when Studio Oktober launched products of its own trademark 'Oktober', designed and led the production of shoes and trimmings (for s/s 2002 and a/w 2003 collections), and of embroidery (a/w 2003).
2003 launched the Peter Faber trademark, produced in collaboration with the Skubic shoemaking manufacture. In fashion shows these products are usually presented together with the Oktober trademark.
2004 decided to create, designed and producing her personal trademark: LEONORA MARK – 'Ave Femina' (prêt-à-porter) and LEONORA MARK (unique style shoes for collectors and experts).

2004 - 2007LEONORA MARK studio is running two brands - LEONORA MARK and AVE FEMINA. The studio is colaborating also with other trade marks.
LEONORA MARK shoes are devised as opuses rather than dictated by the order of seasonal collections. They are made manually. I create shoes according to the principles better known in art, with production opuses collected in the artist's portfolio. Shoes do not attend to feet merely as a functional solution or a formalistic excess but, rather, as a poetic extension of the body walking upon the carpet of the story according to which the shoes were made. They are due to provoke a lasting appeal and therefore we will keep them for life as objects.
These shoes are made for the feet as much as for the eye and the hand.
AVE FEMINA is a unique production line and it is intended for demanding clients with highly elaborated standards in purchasing of shoes. This shoes are made in compliance with the exalted creative ethic, but nevertheless they perform well in combination with, or addition to, individual clothing styles of my clients. The mellow aesthetic radiates femininity and upholds self-confidence of every woman.
Therefore, the Ave Femina series of shoes represent precisely what ave femina literally means: a greeting – adoration of woman.
I also colaborate with other fashion trade marks. My shoes are designed in view of creative poetics of individual fashion trade marks, and they follow the logic of seasonal collections. In my interpretation of fashion climate I balance my creative approach with industrial trends.
Apart from fashion studios with which I'm collaborating, I also design shoes for individual clients, devoting special attention to their personal character.
